COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to offer practical advice to newly appointed criminal investigators in an effort to shorten the unavoidable learning curve. It will explain in some detail intricacies of criminal investigation not always presented in other training classes. Some information will come from formal sources and some will be based on personal experiences of the instructors. The presentation is not meant to be all encompassing or to provide specialized training in forensics or criminology. It will provide the framework for investigator development and advice on pitfalls and dynamics of the attendees’ new assignment.
